Hosted Service – Pricing & Costs

One product, many solutions.

Not everyone has ultra-high end COTs PCs or a GPU / CPU combination that can power Polaron running locally – therefore we’re working to host Polaron in the cloud.

As a managed service running in the cloud this allows our users to access simulations and services over a web connection. Connect via APIs and create their own custom queries and interactions into, within and exporting data from each simulation instance.

This is maturing increasingly quickly and is broadly split into two services – essentially public and private, which relates to a managed service.

We can also offer WebRTC support – which provides an ultra lightweight multi-user capability (think Google Meet / Zoom / Teams) to allow simultaneous collaboration and co-ordination via our customised WebRTC rendering engine – allowing up to 10+ plus concurrent users to use our platform simultaneously via a web browser.

Note: We are currently refining our price model based on operating costs. Currently, we’re offering an initial pricing model, but this is unlikely to change significantly from the Early Access programme premium pricing. We’ve also not included the PC game pricing information in these lists as this is managed via the distribution channels (e.g. Steam, Epic, etc)

We cap some features to keep operating costs down but offer many models and simulations. Access to the Polaron marketplace is included for pay-as-you-go needs.

What do you get access to?

  • Polaron OSM Supported layers
  • Access to public models & limited modification
  • Export data from Polaron
  • Auto-video maker
  • Use the Polaron Marketplace for sharing and benefits
  • Download or buy community-created premium features

How much storage/usage?

  • 5 x maps (50km2) with unlimited simulation time

Private SaaS & Commercial Pricing (B2B)

Urban Hawk offers Polaron as a service. We also provide customisation and external systems integration where a dedicated instance of Polaron is more suitable. This model is driven by a license fee and hosting costs but allows for much more flexibility. It can be integrated with external hosting for storage or even integrated into your data systems for a more customisable use of the simulations. This is best suited for businesses, local authorities, or agencies, or those with sensitive data that can’t operate on a shared tenant or host.

There are many variables to this, so understanding your needs helps us ensure we can meet your demands. It aids in supporting adoption, growth, and ensuring sufficient resources. The simplest method is always a conversation.

Note: We are currently refining our price model based on operating costs. Currently, we’re offering an initial pricing model, but this is unlikely to change significantly from the Early Access programme premium pricing.

B2C Public Shared Service Pricing

For the immediate future, the Early Access is free. We aim to always offer a free version, so your data, simulation, and maps are safe. Happy modelling!

To ensure the greatest number of consumers can access our service, we offer a freemium model. This allows pro-sumers to upgrade for more storage, processing, and features. If you’ve outgrown this, we offer an upgrade pathway to a commercial instance and license. We can move your models, maps, and data to a private instance once you’ve exceeded the public hosted capabilities.

Note: We are currently refining our price model based on operating costs. Currently, we’re offering an initial pricing model, but this is unlikely to change significantly from the Early Access programme premium pricing.
